men in the sun

Over all, I believe the story of men in the sun can have two different meanings. Men in the sun as in the place that they are from, going to Palestine then also the meaning of men in the sun in the tank of the truck. My question is why are they going away from their homes to find jobs? why cant they find a job were they live currently? As for the men in the sun in the tank, its sad how far a person is willing to go to get some were, even if it means their life. Something about being basted alive in the tank of a water truck is just amazing to me.
